How I make my own designs for free

When I want to design an image for a post, a blog I go to Canva. This free design program is so easy to use, I couldn’t keep this just for myself. 

Canva.com has so many templates to choose from that you can practically make anything. You can use the designs on Canva but you can also adjust it to your own branding. You can find all the formats for social media on Canva. So you don’t have to check every time if you’re using the right format. You can also fill out your own format if you can’t find the right one.

The thing I find fantastic is that you can copy a design you’ve made and reuse it. I do this with my Facebook posts. I copy an existing one and type in a new quote. That way you don’t have to put in your colors and fonts again. If you go for the paid version you can make a lookbook. But this is an easy workaround for this.

You can upload your own images or you can choose an image from the many free and paid pictures Canva has available. And you can make designs like these ones.

Once you are happy with your design you can download it as jpg, png, or pdf onto your own computer. I mostly download in png so the quality of the image will not change. Or a MP4 when I've created a video and want to add captions to it.

For me, Canva is a tool I can’t work without. I would have to spend so much money to get all the designs I need. Plus it’s fun to do.
