How to use Squarespace Scheduling

A major time-saver is to let the people who want to work with you plan an appointment with you on your Squarespace website. Using the Squarespace scheduler is a great way to let them.
Mind you, the Squarespace scheduler is not free. I’m also going to give you a free possibility in this blog. When you already use Acuity for your scheduling then you don’t have to get a different subscription because they’re one and the same.
The main reason for using a scheduler on your website is that people can make an appointment even when you’re not working. So in the evening, on the weekend, or when you have a day off. Also, you don’t have to email back and forth to schedule a day and time.
So, how do you use Squarespace Scheduling?
Go to the Squarespace menu of your website. Click Scheduling. There you can start a 14-day trial. Follow the prompts to set it up.
Set your availability
Add appointment types
Then you can add a scheduling block to your Squarespace website.
After the trial you have to choose a plan when you want to keep using it.
Integrations
You can add your online calendar (iCloud, Google Calendar, and Outlook). So the appointments that are made are directly put into your calendar. And there won’t be conflicting appointments. So, don’t block whole days off in your calendar when it’s also a day that you maybe want people to book appointments.
You can also collect payments. So when you are a hairdresser you can collect your payment before the appointment or you can have a fee that people have to pay you to make an appointment so the cancellation rate goes down if that’s a problem.
And you can connect with Zoom, Google Meet, GotToMeeting, or Join.me. So every time someone books a meeting with you they automatically get a link.
A free option to schedule appointments
I told you that I also would give you a free option and that is with Calendly. With Calendly you have the possibility to have one meeting for free. You can integrate it with your online calendar which are the same as with the Squarespace scheduler. And you can connect with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and GoToMeeting.
You can put a button with the meeting link on your Squarespace website or you can embed it by adding a Code block with the code that Calendly gives you.
So these are two options to put a scheduler on your Squarespace website.
