How to connect your social media to your Squarespace website

How many social media accounts do you have? Or are you one of the people who doesn’t have any social media accounts? Most people who have a business also have one or more social media accounts. Squarespace connect social media accounts very easy. You can show social media icons or push your blog posts to your accounts. In this blog, I will show you how to connect your social media accounts.

How to add social media links to Squarespace

With Squarespace, it’s possible to connect your social media accounts to your website. To do this you go to Menu - Settings - Connected Accounts. Click Connect Account and choose the account you want to connect. Another page pops up and you have to give permission for the connection. Once you’ve done that the account is visible in the list of connected accounts. See, super easy.

Blog posts show automatically on your connected accounts

So how will this make your life easier? By connecting your social media accounts you can automatically push your blog posts or podcasts to your accounts. You can edit the way your blog posts or podcasts are visible on your accounts. Squarespace automatically shows you a good way to showcase your blog posts or podcasts. But you can change it anytime you want. Now all you have to do is write your post, toggle that you want the automatic push, and plan or publish your post. Your post will be pushed to all your connected accounts.

Add social icons

On most sites, you see social media icons. With Squarespace, you can also add those to, for instance, your footer. How to add social icons Squarespace?
Under Menu - Settings - Social Links you can add the link to your social media accounts. People can click on the icon and go to your social media account. 

You can also do it when you are creating your webpages. You can have them on your header. When you toggle that on you also get the possibility to add the link to your social media accounts.
