What’s the best way to tell your story on your website?
Content is key on your website. It tells a story about what you have to offer and who you are. So let me tell a little bit more about authentic storytelling.
I see a lot of websites where people just mention what they sell and that’s about it. These days this is not enough anymore. People want to know more. More about what your product or service can do for them, more about you. So, you need to tell a story. It can be the story of your why, the story of yourself, or the story of your products/services. Preferably all of those stories can be found on your site.
Make it an authentic story. People will know if you write something only because you think people will want to read that. And remember that not everybody who visits your site is your ‘ideal’ customer. And they don’t have to be. If it clicks, it clicks and they will become your customer. Yay! But it’s also ok if they don’t want to become a customer. Maybe they just want to read your blogs.
It's ok to evolve
Tell your story on your site and in your posts on social media. Let people see who you are and what you have to offer them. It’s also ok if you change things to make sure it tells more of your story and more of what your products/services can do for your customers. My site looks totally different than it did 1,5 years ago. Just because I offer different services. But the why I do that is still the same. The same goes for what people get out of the services I offer: more freedom.
I help people who are stressed and freaking out because they don't know how to create their own website. That's why I created the online course Wanderful Website.
