How to Become a Squarespace Virtual Assistant
You sit on your couch with your book and your dog. You just finished an amazing project for one of your clients. You check the time and realize it’s only 3 pm. This is your life now. All because you took action.
Squarespace is my favorite website platform to work with. As a VA I worked with so many platforms but Squarespace, the platform I built my very first with, is still my favorite.

I never thought I would be tech-savvy enough to create websites. When I started my VA business, my coach told me I needed a website. It made sense because my business was online, but I had never created a website before. I used to think you needed to know how to code to create an amazing website. However, that is not the case anymore. My coach told me about Squarespace and like I said before, it's still my favorite.
Your day-to-day responsibilities might include creating and maintaining websites, designing pages, optimizing site content for search engines, managing e-commerce platforms, and troubleshooting technical issues.
You decide what you are going to offer. If you only want to create the websites, go do that. And even then there are so many possibilities: you can ask your clients to deliver everything you need to create the website, like brand colors, images, videos, logo, text, etc. You can also offer the branding part of creating a website and the copy for the website.

If you want to create websites for your clients and then keep helping them with for instance adding new blog posts, or adding new pages, go do that.
It's all up to you because you make the rules!
How do you become a Squarespace VA?
1. Develop Your Skills
To become a Squarespace virtual assistant, you'll need to have a good understanding of the platform and its features. Take some time to familiarize yourself with Squarespace by exploring its tutorials, user guides, and forums. You can also enroll in online courses or watch YouTube videos to learn more about the platform. This will help you gain the knowledge and expertise you need to provide high-quality services to your clients.

2. Build Your Portfolio
The best way to develop your skills is to create your own website with Squarespace. This website is also your portfolio. You can also create different pages for companies that don't exist and add those under portfolio in your menu. People can see your design skills and the possibilities that Squarespace has.
3. Find Clients
To find clients, you'll need to market yourself effectively. There are so many ways you can do that. Here are some ways: You can start a blog that targets small business owners and entrepreneurs who use Squarespace or need a website for their business. Use social media to promote your services and reach out to potential clients via email or LinkedIn. You can also join Squarespace-related Facebook groups or forums to connect with potential clients. Networking and building relationships with other Squarespace professionals can help you get referrals and find new opportunities.
But the most important part of getting clients is to be yourself. Your magic is going to attract your dream clients.
