The 4 main issues I see with VAs who struggle to land clients
You dream of a life of freedom.
That’s also what everybody on Instagram says is possible as a Virtual Assistant.
But what if you started and you can’t get any clients…
That sucks. You work more and more because maybe you’re not doing enough.
Maybe you do another course or you start with another social media platform.
But that probably doesn’t fix it.
These are the main issues I experienced at the start of my business and I see other VAs experience when they are struggling to build their client base:
✺ They’re not themselves - they’re copying from others. While it’s great to be inspired by other entrepreneurs but by copying other people’s strategies they’re more thinking about who they should be instead of being their authentic self.
✺ They offer services they don’t really love - it’s easier for them to do the things they also did in their 9-5 even though they kind of hate it.
✺ Their content is boring AF - there are a lot of VAs and standing out is key.
✺ They treat their business as a hobby - something to do next to their 9-5. So every time they’re busy or stressed their VA business suffers.
All these things make it hard to welcome in clients.
For me, it all changed when I no longer tried to be someone else. When I embraced my introvertness and created a strategy that worked for me, I got my first client, my second, etc.
